The WTA circuit has found its paradise in Tenerife: from 16 to 24 October 2021 Abama Tennis Academy hosted a WTA 250 tournament. The stars of women’s tennis put on a show in a breathtaking setting, with a central court literally overlooking the ocean. Among the best players of the tournament were Elina Svitolina, the winner Ann Li, Alison Riske, Tamara Zidansek, Camila Giorgi, Sara Sorribes Tormo, Maria Camila Osorio Serrano and many others. The Tenerife Ladies Open receives the WTA 250 Tournament of the Year honor.
